What is the Building by Faith Campaign all About?
This is a campaign designed to not only raise the funds needed to construct our new facility, but build our faith and knowledge in what our Lord desires of each of us as individuals. From a practical standpoint, our current facility can no longer support our church family, either structurally, or population-wise. There are numerous costly renovations that need to be made, and even those, once completed would not address the issues of expanding our building to allow for a larger congregation, or for allowing those who currently attend service downstairs to join the rest of the congregation upstairs. Nor would the renovations address the need for additional parking, an issue that will never be able to resolved at our current location.
Building by Faith will assist FBCC to achieve the funds needed to build a new facility that will meet all necessary needs to bring Honor and Glory to God and continue our mission of reaching those throughout our community with His Holy and Inspired Word.
blessed, but our facilities have become inadequate for our congregation and for our future growth. The renovation of our present educational facilities and the addition of some new classrooms, a new enlarged fellowship center with a new kitchen, relocation of Administrative offices, and relocation of the youth educational area will enable us to grow and fulfill God’s mission for us in this community.

A Message from our Campaign Coordinator:
As a family at First Baptist Community Church we are embarking on an exciting journey. Yet as humans in our sinful nature there is also fear. Fear that what we are attempting to do is not possible. There is doubt. There is discord. There is a spiritual battle being waged to keep us from our called mission to spread God’s word into this community.
This is not merely a campaign for funds, this is a campaign for faith. We are building our faith in our Lord and Savior. We are building our faith in the power of prayer.
We are building our knowledge of His Word, His protection, and His Sacrifice on our behalf. We as a family know what we are called to do, and we know where we are being led, and the doors have been opened to allow us the opportunity to expand our reach into this community that is so desperate for God’s word. Now it is up to us to honor our Lord and Savior; it is up to us to give thanks for His ultimate and selfless sacrifice. In the coming weeks we ask that you pray and listen to the Holy Spirit, not the doubts and whispers of anything or anyone else.
Our mission is clear: Bring honor and glory to God, to spread His Word to every single person in this community. The new building has been designed for that purpose alone.
Our Savior made the ultimate sacrifice that we might be free to spread His word to the nations. Now we must decide if we will honor Him and joyfully make the sacrifices that we might spread His word to our community.

Celebration Sunday:
On Sunday, May 7th, the entire church family will be receiving invitations to attend our Celebration Sunday.
Prior to the service you will receive an “Estimate of Giving Card”. You will have an opportunity to fill out and turn in this card at the end of the service. This is the time that each of you will have an opportunity to make a commitment to the “Building by Faith” campaign. This will be an entirely voluntary commitment. There will be no pressure to get you to give. This is to be a commitment between you and God. After the service we will be having a Celebration BBQ in our Fellowship Hall, followed by a journey to our property where we will continue our fellowship with a time of song and prayer as we continue to seek the Lord’s will in this journey of Building by Faith.
Those not present on this Sunday, will have an opportunity during the following two weeks to fill out the “Estimate of Giving Card”.
On Sunday, May 21st, we will have our First Fruits Offering. Members may give weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Gifts may also include assets other than money.

A Prayer for the Future...As we start this journey together we ask that you take the time each day to pray for our church family. Pray for this undertaking, and pray that we always follow God’s will.
Build My Faith~
Father altogether Holy, Humbly I bend my knees and bow my head before Thee, Lifting my heart in a prayer and thankfulness, In awe of all You have graciously given me. I plead with Thee now~
Build my Faith.
Strengthen my Heart.
Strengthen my Resolution.
Strengthen my Knowledge of Your Word. And strengthen my understanding of what You ask of me as we embark on this journey before me. Let me hear Your still small voice in my heart and mind.
May I feel Your Spirit guide me on the Path You have laid before me.
Protect me from the temptations of the world, protect me from he who would destroy the mission that has been set before me.
Show me what I can do to serve You as I embark upon this journey ~ Building by Faith. Open my heart to the tasks You set before me.
Build my Faith.
I ask Thee oh Father, In the name of Your Heavenly Son
Our Lord Jesus Christ~
Amen.

What is a commitment? Commitment is defined as “the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.”. But is that really all? When you break down commitment into dedication, you get devotion, allegiance, loyalty, fidelity and faithfulness. Are we committed to giving our all to our Savior? Does He have our complete devotion or mere moments of affection? Do we sacrifice our all for Him, or do we give Him whatever is leftover? Do we give Him our complete allegiance, do we still give our loyalty to the things of the world? Are we faithful only to Him or have the things of the world caused us to stray?
Commitment. Faithfulness.
Building by Faith.
